Dearest football friends,

DBSV Red Socks are organising the 14th famous international students' football tournament 'B.A.R.T.' this year! The abbreviation B.A.R.T. stands for 'Black Stockings And Red Socks Tournament'. Ladies' and men's student football teams from within and outside the country can participate in the tournament. The tournament will take place in the cosy student city of Maastricht on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of June 2011!

Every year the B.A.R.T. is a big success and it is a well-known tournament in the student football world. A new, enthusiastic and motivated committee is ready to organise the tournament again this year and make sure that it will be an unforgettable experience. We are looking forward to welcome a whole lot of teams again this year!

A lot will be going on during the tournament. You will have the opportunity to play football and show some sporty performances during the day. Socializing with some drinks and partying will be the main entertainment in the evenings. Two big tents with DJ's on the Friday and Saturday nights, after-parties, a cantus, a live band, lounging during the day with lots of other people will ensure that this tournament will undoubtedly going to be amazing. In short, a tournament you just cannot afford to miss!

Now a few practical details. The matches will be played on 3 pitches. The men play 11 vs. 11 and the ladies 7 vs. 7. The maximum number of players for the men's teams is 18 and 13 for the ladies' teams. The matches will be played according to the rules set up by the KNVB and FIFA under the supervision of official referees.

The contribution for the tournament is only €35,-. This will guarantee you an unforgettable weekend with loads of exercise and fun! Furthermore, breakfast and lunch are included on the Saturday and Sunday and on Saturday there also will be a barbecue. Last but not least, beer is only €1,-! Everyone is expected to bring their own tents for accommodation, the tents can be set up on a big field.
